KFB is an abbreviation of “Knit Front and Back”. I will show you how to knit KFB in this post.
KFB is an increasing stitch. As it says, you are going to knit the front of the stitch and the back of the stitch at the same time to create two stitches out of one. I use this stitch for the Wine cozy and Easter Egg Pattern.
How to Knit KFB (Knit Front and Back) ?
It is probably easier to watch the video than read through the instructions with pictures.
Here is the tutorial video 👇👇
Following is a brief direction with some pictures.
1: Make a normal knit stitch, but DO NOT drop the stitch on the left needle yet.
2. Bring the right needle from the front to back, in a twisting motion.
3. Insert the right needle into the back of the stitch on the left needle from right to left.
4. Wrap the working yarn knitwise
5. Pull the working yarn through the stitch. (Knit Back of the stitch)
6. Drop from the left needle.
You made two stitches out of one and increased one stitch!
