KTBL is a knitting abbreviation of “Knit Through the Back Loop”. It is a twisted knit stitch to add a different texture to the pattern. I will be demonstrating in continental style. Let’s go over how to Knit TBL.
How to Knit Through the Back Loop?
It is probably easier to watch the video than read through the instructions with pictures.

Following is a brief direction with some pictures.
1: Make sure to bring the working yarn behind.
2. Insert the right needle into the back loop from right to left.
3. Wrap the yarn around to knit.
That’s all you need to achieve KTBL “Knit Through the Back Loop”.
