I did a thing! I just ordered 1st EVER knitting kit subscription in my life!

There are so many knitting kits available, and everything looks so fun and beautiful. But for some reason, I always save for a “wish list” and never purchased a kit before.

Why I decided to get a knitting kit subscription

Usually, knitting kits come in the form of subscriptions. I don’t know about you, but the word “subscriptions” always gets me lol It sounds like I am so committed to purchasing a product every month or whatever the length the company set up. Even though I mean to cancel, I know myself very well. I know I WILL FORGET to cancel even though I intended to, and I ended up with unnecessary charges. So, I had never purchased a kit before until I saw this advertisement from Annie’s Kit Club: 100% OFF the first kit with the coupon code “NEWCRAFT.”

WHAT!? Did I see 100% OFF!?

So I totally got hooked to their marketing strategies and went on their website 😂

I knew about the company, but I had never known they had a kit club. So when I saw what they offered, I got so excited to check every kit out. I’m busy creating my own patterns or tutorials right now. I thought having a surprise pattern every month to simply enjoy knitting would be a great idea. So I ended up ordering my very first knitting kit subscription called “Love to Knit Kit”.

If you are curious about what’s in the box, check my Youtube video below.

What kind of kit do they offer?

I opened up the browser only to check a knitting kit, but I found out they offered kits for knitters, crocheters, quilters, cardmakers, and more!

Knitters

If you have been knitting for a long time and have been to a knitting community or two, I bet you have met someone who LOVES knitting socks! Every time you see the person, they are onto the next socks project. Perhaps, you are one of them. Annie’s got a sock kit for someone just like you.

Another fantastic kit I saw was an “Afgan block-of-the-month” club. They will send three different blocks of patterns to complete. So you can learn three new knitting patterns and stitches every month. It is a bit of commitment since it takes 11 months to complete the afghan. But if you are ready for the commitment, it will be so exciting to get the box every month and finally finish the project at the end of the course.

Crocheter

The “Afghan block-of-the-month” club is also available for crocheters. It is also an 11 months course to finish a project, but looking at this beautiful finished afghan, it is worth it.

Sharing is caring. How heartwarming is this idea? “Caring Crochet Kit Club.” You will receive patterns to make chemo caps for cancer patients, blankets for seriously ill and traumatized children, etc. Annie’s will include a highlight of a specific cause or organization they recommend to pass your handmade gift along to a person in need of warmth and kindness. The world needs more love like this, especially with everything going on.

Hook and Needles

Do you knit AND crochet like you switch a hook and needles all the time? Do you have a hard time which craft kit to choose? Then “Hook & Needle Kit Club” is the one for you. You will receive BOTH knit and crochet projects each month.

Other Craft Kits

If you love knitting or crocheting, the chances are you love crafting in general. Maybe you can take a break between knitting or crocheting projects and try a completely different craft.

I saw this pretty beads jewelry-making kit, Simply Beads Kit, which will be my next kit after trying out my knitting kit.

This Card maker kit reminded me of one of my family who loves making greeting cards. She always sends us beautiful hand-crafted greeting cards for birthdays and holidays. She loves learning new things too. I am sure she would love this monthly subscription. So it is going to be the next holiday gift for her.

There are MORE kits available on their webpage! Even you don’t purchase the kit, it is inspiring and fun to look at 🙂
