K2tog is a knitting abbreviation of “Knit two together.” It is one of the decreasing stitches often used in knitting. Once you master the knit stitch, it is easy for you to master this stitch too! Follow the step-by-step tutorial, and you will see what I mean πŸ™‚

How to knit K2tog?

It is probably easier to watch the video than read through the instructions with pictures.

Here is the tutorial video πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Following is a brief direction with some pictures.

1: Instead of knitting into the first stitch on the left needle, insert the right needle into the second stitch.

2. Put the right needle through the back of the 1st stitch

3. Wrap the working yarn on the right needle knitwise.

4. Bring the yarn through the stitches.

That’s it! You just knitted two stitches together at once and decreased one stitch.
